In The Parlor Screening Guidelines and FAQ

HOW CAN I WATCH “ITP”?

At this time, you can see In The Parlor by hosting a screening or attending a screening in your area. The best way to find out where screenings will take place or if you are interested in hosting, is to contact us directly at heidibouch@comcast.net or go to website intheparlordoc.com/wordpress

WHO CAN HOST A SCREENING?

Anyone can host a screening.

HOW LONG IS THE FILM?

The full length feature runs about 80 minutes and is suitable for audiences aged 14 and up.

WHAT IS REQUIRED IN HOSTING A SCREENING?

To host a screening in any location outside a private home, you’ll need a license. License fees vary by type of organization, use, and group size. As the organizing host, you choose the date, time, venue, and support team, and any other details, and we provide you with the film.

HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD I ALLOW BEFORE MY SCREENING?

As we are often out on the road sharing ITP, please make sure you allow ample time before your event to place your order. This ensures we can get the disc to you in plenty of time. Last minute orders for a screening license can cost extra money and stress… for all of us! Allowing 4 – 6 weeks lead time is a suggested minimum. Please contact us if you have any questions or need a little guidance. Thanks!

DO I REALLY NEED TO PURCHASE A LICENSE TO SHOW THE FILM?

Yes! If you are showing the film outside a private home, you are legally obligated to purchase the appropriate license for your institution. We review all purchases to confirm the correct licensing… so please don’t cheat… it’s embarrassing and can even get you into trouble.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO VIEW “ITP”?

If you are playing on a large screen or projection and have the ability to play DVD or Blu-ray, we recommend this format. Please note: Blu-ray discs only play in Blu-ray players, and our Blu-ray discs do not have SDH Captions.

WHY ARE THERE DIFFERENT PRICES FOR THE LICENSES?

We offer a tiered licensing and pricing system based on the general usage for each type of organization. For example, a home death care training program may add the film to their collection and many students, and classes will check out the film over a period of time. A non-profit may use the film for their regular programs, community outreach or marketing. A public library may add the film to their collection and reach a smaller number of people in their local community. Our goal is to make the film accessible to all types of organizations.

ARE THE FILMMAKERS AVAILABLE FOR Q&A’S AND POST-SCREENING DISCUSSIONS?

We are available and would love to be a part of your event. If you are interested, please contact us so that we can discuss this with you further. While in-person appearances can be arranged, Skype, is also available. Please note there are fees associated with bringing a speaker to your event. Pricing depends on travel considerations and availability.
